The core to the success of every Litestructures project is investing time to ask key questions before we begin. The answers provide the purpose and message that drive the design of the project. We determine the vision, goals and objectives, expectations, timelines and budgets with resulting milestones and deliverables. Based upon this scope, we create a suitable detailed design proposal and design direction. The primary outcome is to determine the project functionality and features required. These elements have a direct impact on costs and time lines, and provide the foundation for the quotation. These extensive findings form the ‘DNA’ of the project.
2. Design
Once the project is defined, the design process can begin. This is the ‘prototype’ phase of the project. Prototype concepts are basic design ideas, the first look at the possibilities. The design and projects team select concepts for approval and, by incorporating client feedback, defines exactly the right direction. The client is essential to the creative process guided by an experienced team, but guardians of their own vision. We take the time to verify this process with a client approval, to ensure we get it just right.
3. Engineering & Manufacture
The broad range of engineering, welding and fabrication skills at Litestructures enables us to provide a comprehensive solution to complex projects and installation challenges for a wide variety of business types and sectors. We have a core team of craftsmen, many with us since the formative days in the early 1990’s. Allied to advanced CNC and coating technologies, we have total in-house control. Depending upon the nature of the project, common tasks undertaken include material forming and application, finish testing, stress and load testing, and user manual development. The solution is then fully manufactured in Wakefield, including many possible special processes.
4. Pre-build
Clients are encouraged to make visits to our workshop and on-site 17,500sq.ft., 18m tall studio to fine-tune their projects and see their creative ideas come to life. The facility is large enough to pre-build almost any of our bespoke structures, and many of our clients find the integral office and dining facilities, green room and en-suite bedrooms convenient when time is so often a precious commodity within the constraints of contemporary business schedules.
5. Installation
Our team of skilled and experienced people combine rigging and installation skills to provide a broad service in a wide variety of installation types including on-site joinery and fabrication, electromechanical and electronic engineering.
6. Commissioning
The main objective of commissioning is to ensure the safe and orderly handover of the solution from us to the client, guaranteeing its operability in terms of performance, reliability and safety. Commissioning represents an essential factor for the fulfilment of schedule, costs, safety and quality requirements of the project. Upon final approval and invoicing, we deliver the project files and make sure everything works as promised. Follow-up and support - as appropriate for your project, continue at this point, such as technical support, ongoing review and analysis.
